Biography
has studied archaeology and received an MA from Edinburgh University. She continued to do a master degree in environmental archaeology at the archaeology department of Sheffield University. Her doctorate (PhD) at the same university was researching on the archaeobotany of the Late Bronze Age site at Akrotiri, Thera, Greece and looking into how the economy of a Late Bronze Age dwelling functioned.
She has worked on several archaeological sites and applied her research both in Greece and Cyprus and of course, has published widely as chapters in books and in peer reviewed Greek and international periodicals. She has taught at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete, as well as worked for some years at the Institute of Mediterranean Studies in Rethymno (ITE). Presently, she is working as an Independent Scholar on various research projects.
